Development
Andrea Laghi
I am a software developer, backend by vocation. I like the part nobody sees: the data, the APIs, the services that have to work every day without anyone thinking about them. I graduated in Computer Science at the University of Trento, with a thesis on a distributed Android application, and since then I have written code for startups, companies and studios of every size.
I started in 2013 in Trento and Milan as a Java developer, then at Waynaut I coordinated a data integration team and built on AWS. From 2016 to 2019 I worked in Chiasso, Switzerland, for ParkinLab. Since 2019 I have been freelance.
Avviare
Since 2019 I have worked under the name Avviare, Italian for “to start up”: companies, products, ideas. Over these years I have followed projects from analysis to release, often as the only developer, often with teams that needed someone to hold the pieces together. Kilonova is the natural continuation of that path: the same technical experience, now with the creative half that was missing.
How I work
Done is better than perfect. I would rather put something that works online and then improve it than chase the final version before seeing how people actually use it. Small releases, concrete measures, no complexity that is not needed.
